It’s Wednesday so I’m coming to you from the garden….my new garden!

The Roses That Grow There.
One of the best things about moving house, after the stress of packing and unpacking, is discovering what secrets your new garden has to reveal to you.

I’ve discovered that in the month of May my new garden has honeysuckle growing far and wide.

And roses. Deep red roses, growing alongside the honeysuckle and decorating the front of the house with orbs of scarlet that grow in numbers daily.

At a little after six a.m. this morning I put a bench underneath them. I like to create corners and this seemed as good a corner as any to create.

This new corner gives me the company of roses in the morning…….

…coupled with my morning coffee and a back issue of Vanity Fair I couldn’t ask for a better start.

Then I heard a cockerel for the first time and knew that my ‘good’ start had just morphed into perfection.

See you tomorrow. We’ve been having lots of visits from family lately and I wanted to create something for them to welcome them to our new home as our treasured guests.
