Hello, Jodie here!
We were meant to be launching our June giveaway today but things have taken a turn so that will be happening tomorrow.
There comes a time in every pregnancy when you just have to stop and that time has come in Cherry’s. As I have been through a twin pregnancy myself I know that stopping at this time is the best thing for Cherry and in my opinion perhaps she should have done it a little earlier. It’s sometimes hard to keep track of her at the house and she sneaks off to her laptop or out in to the garden to interfere with projects that are well and truly under control, but she’s now been forced to stop.
Over the long weekend she was woken by contractions two nights in a row. They stopped after a few hours but at times they were quite painful. Her breathing is now really shallow and labored even when she’s sitting down doing nothing and she has said she feels like she’s drowning.
The babies are really low and have been for a month which has now begun to affect her in ways that are not wholly appropriate!
Yesterday morning she visited the hospital and although The Meatballs are in great physical shape Cherry isn’t doing as well. She’s back at the hospital again today, despite the offer being made of staying overnight (that I think I would have taken) and she’s seeing her consultant to discuss a new date for the C-section.
However, Cherry discovered yesterday that the boy may have turned and now be head down. If this is the case then a whole new birthing option then becomes open.
I will be keeping you updated on events when they occur via the website homepage, Facebook fan page and Twitter – all of these links can be found below at the bottom of this post.
I’ll also be the voice you hear on the website while Cherry has the babies. We’ve been putting together bonus articles to see us through the period that Cherry is either in hospital or so in love with her new babies that she just wants to spend the entire day staring at them.
I know that the work gone in to these extra articles will be worth the effort as we all think Cherry needs this time to focus on all that is going on in her body and getting those babies out safely.
But, having said that I know my sister and I know she’ll be itching to show off her newborns as soon as she feels able.
With all that said I hope you’ll enjoy having me update you here on the website, Facebook and Twitter as well as enjoy the great new articles we still have coming.
Thank you so much for all of your well wishes, gifts and comments so far. Cherry, Robert, Cathy and I have all been amazed at your generosity.
See you back here tomorrow for our most Summery (and boozy) giveaway ever!
Jodie x
