What I love about summer is:
having supper outside, watching the perennials emerge, the smell of the lawn freshly mowed, the color green, my adirondack chairs, growing tomatoes, the dolphin restaurant on the coast of Maine with a view of many islands you can almost touch! Lobsters and champagne, blueberry pie from my kitchen, going out for an early dinner in one of our Morgans, reading a great book out in the yard, tennis tournaments…I could go on and on…but I’ll be polite.
Would love that cardigan for my little Amelia.

I told you I had a treat for you today and I couldn’t be happier!
Look at this darling cardigan. As a lover of all things preppy, french and beautiful this cardigan for a little girl ticks every aesthetic box there ever was for me.
OK, I’ll back up a little.
This little girl’s peach v-neck cardigan is an item from the current collection by Edamame Apparel. Apart from having the best name I have ever heard of for a clothing company it also has some of the most gorgeous items of children’s clothing available to buy.
Tetta Robertson is a beautiful woman who founded Edamame with a desire “to create 100% natural, beautifully soft, affordable childrenswear without sacrificing on quality or style.” I think she has achieved that and I want to support her by hosting this giveaway. Women in business, entrepreneurial women, women with a dream and a vision should always be supported and this is the least I can do.
Edamame also has a strong Eco-philosophy that you can read about here!

As a mummy to a little girl I’ll find it hard not to enter this giveaway a million times myself, but they are not the rules I play by so I promise I won’t. But if you would like to enter in with a chance of being sent this beautiful cardigan then all you have to do is leave a comment at the bottom telling me what you love most about the Summer! Yes, you guessed it, the sun is finally on its way and I think I may stand out on the road and greet its arrival with a huge sign.
Don’t feel left out if you are not a parent, Edamame are offering this cardigan in any size required between 1-6 years, so you may have a niece or a friend or even just a little girl you’ve seen before that you think deserves to be dressed like the beautiful little girl that she is.

- To enter leave a comment at the bottom of this post telling me what you love most about the summertime
- You can enter as many times as you like
- You can enter from any country in the world and the cardigan will be packaged beautifully by Edamame and sent out to you
- As promised I will automatically enter any international entries from the Higgledy Garden Seed giveaway from last time but please feel free to enter again
- I will announce the winner on this very same post in a few days when I close the entries. I will tell you when I have done so on this post and also announce it on my Facebook page and Twitter feed (links below) so please keep an eye out for the announcement if you enter.
I chose to feature Edamame Apparel because the moment I went to the website I felt good. I loved the collection, I loved the philosophy, I loved the pictures and I felt that everything Tetta has worked so hard for was seeping through the website. I hope you love the site as much as me and think of popping back for a browse when you are next shopping.
If you would like your company to feature in one of my online giveaways then do send me an email to giveaway@cherrymenlove.com
I love you and thank you so much for reading today. And if you are a woman with a dream of working for herself then know that I stand with you, supporting you 100%. You’ll get there!

For me, summer is all about the food … tomatoes, strawberries, watermelon, ice cream!
I love how carefree summer is. We can go to the beach, visit family, and just enjoy being a family doing all sorts of things outside!

I love
Cricket on the village green, garden fetes, the long light evenings drinking wine in the garden or pub garden, strolling around in summer clothing, eating salad every day, droning bumble bees, scented flowers, blue skies, happy English people who have had to live all their lives with English weather, visits to the seaside, the sound of seaguls, pavement cafe’s, ice creams for the kids, leaving the back door open and sun on my face at last. Wonderful.
Oh my what a beautiful piece of clothing,,favorite thing about summertime,,The Beach,,toes in sand, swimming in the ocean,4th July, fireworks,a nice tan..

What a beautiful cardigan!
The thing I love most about summer is the blue skies. Actually any blue sky, no matter what time of year, is sure to cheer me up but summer blue skies are the most beautiful sight ever. I was glad when I was going through the sheer hell of a HG pregnancy that by the time the summer skies rolled in I was finally being treated and could actually go outside and enjoy them. Sitting indoors looking out at them would have broken my heart I think. I remember walking to work and looking at the blue sky and thinking, “this time next year my child will be learning to crawl and life will be wonderful!” Blue skies always make me feel “promise”, an overwhelming feeling that things will be okay. They make me sigh with happiness and relief. That’s what I love most about summer.
For this reason, if I won the cardigan I think I would have to give it to the daughter of a lady I met on twitter due to HG and later found out she lived just down the road from me. We’ve met up several times since and she is struggling through her second HG pregnancy, something I’m not sure I’ll ever be brave enough to do. Her daughter is a darling and would love it, and it’s always such a pleasure to give someone a present, especially when they’ve been through a big trauma.
Getting mine and the childrens’ toes out and into sandals without worrying about the effects of frost bite!
Summertime – Gin and tonics, prossecco, a plate of beautiful anti-pasti and friends lounging in our garden to enjot it all with!!
My beautiful niece Lola Rose would look an absolute peach in this cardi!!
Fingers crossed!!

The summertime always seems so hopeful and relaxed – a surfeit of sunshine and lazy evenings with friends having glasses of wine at the park. However, for me summer is primarily about work – I adore my business, creating humanist wedding and naming ceremonies for people throughout the UK. This means that, especially in the summer, I get to spend most of my weekends travelling around the UK, going to see some glorious spaces and places – gardens that I would never otherwise have visited, stately homes i’ve not heard of….Most importantly though, and the reason I do this work (mostly during the summer months), is that I help to create happiness for people, and bring to reality promises of life long commitment. Whether under cover of fancy umbrellas and gazebos (British summertime weather!) or under parasols or the shade of a giant oak, summertime is about drawing together families and friends and strengthening and creating communities. Each weekend is a time for celebration!
My favourite thing about summer is scent of… sun in people’s clothes, hair, mmm!
In the summer people slow down. Walking through the village on a summers morning we stop to chat, we catch up and have more to say than ‘hi’ or ‘hello’. We smile more, we close our eyes and look up, we breathe slower, we appreciate the simple things. Lazy days and good food, family and friends, laughter and all brought on by the sunshine. I’m already here waiting …..
Lovely basil plants, for me that is the best thing about summer.
Ooo summer- those long, warm days filled with smiles and grass between your toes!! Bliss. We’re so blessed to have 4 fab seasons x
The smell of freshly cut grass, the sound of tennis balls being hit and seeing the bumble bees heading for my bee friendly garden. All smelt, listened to and watched with a glass of chilled rose and my favourite magazine! Hurry up summer! x
This Summer is special! Why? Because this will be my first as a mummy to twin girls and actually the sun will shine for me everyday now! Lucky yes I am!!
Garden days – sunshine, freshly mown lawn, flowers in bloom, bees buzzing, tea & cake on the patio and my daughter chatting and laughing in the sandpit.
The smell of freshly cut grass! It always reminds me of the long hot summer days when I was small, of playing with my childhood friends in our surburban street where summer holidays seemed to last a lifetime
Summertime has always meant more time with my beautiful grandchildren. I cannot imagine my life without my children but when I look at those beautiful babies that they created, my heart melts. They love to come to the Texas Hill Country and spend time with Papa and Nana but summer time means more time to have even more fun just doing things city kids don’t get to do! Thanks for the Opportunity and this cardigan would love beautiful my dear little Hannah, my 8 year old granddaughter or Aubrianna who is turning 7 next month! Thanks and Happy Everything! Pamie G.
Summertime……the best time for my Grandchildren. A five year old boy who is sure that in the winter he stays at school till bedtime, in the summer he can have tea in the garden, jump on the trampoline and play for what seems like forever. A one year old little girl who is just going to love crawling and tottering about in the garden for the first time. Come on summer hurry up we are waiting
)
I love summer because it reminds me of family holidays in Devon. The Brown clan would fill the cool box full of goodies and spend the summer days down on the most amazing beach, sunbathing, surfing and rock pooling!Salty and sunkissed – good memories!
I love the relaxed evenings and weekends, everyone seems more inclined to socialise and have lazy evenings sat outside with friends and impromptu barbecues! Also the opportunity to wear summer clothes which spent most of their time packed away at the back of my wardrobe!
The thing I love most about the summer, is the excuse to sit out with my family under the shade of my silver birch tree, eating and drinking and playing games…and can shut the door on the house work!! xx
gorgeous. I’d love to win it for my little girl.
Summertime – I love picking roses from my garden and dreaming of autumn!

My favourite thing about summer is taking the children to the beach, as early as we can manage and running around feeling the sand squishing between our toes. Then to the beach cafe for a bacon sandwich brunch. Heaven!!
