This Week I Have Loved…The Light in the Evening.

I potter  weed the garden in the evening when it’s cooler and the kids are long asleep. The sun goes down at the back or the garden and sometimes I down tools and just watch it. The light is something I love most about West Sussex, it’s so different to any other place I have ever lived in this country and reminds me a lot of the light in California. Perhaps that’s why I love it so.

Find something to love this weekend. I can talk from personal experience when I say that no matter how small that ‘something’ is loving it makes you feel like a million dollars!

I love you.

Beautiful! It’s a fantastic picture, and what do I love this weekend? The tranquility of the house first thing this morning before my little boy, husband and dog get up! Oh! And having the windows and garden doors open right up until bedtime last night and listening to the chirp of the crickets in my garden. It reminds me of the Mediterranean…have a lovely weekend!

That is the most beautiful picture… I, too, love the light in the evening, especially through trees. That is gorgeous :)

I love the warm glow of the early evening. And as we approach late August going into September I find the light changes and it’s so beautiful.

I agree! Experiencing something lovely or doing something you love, sets the tone for the days that follow. I love what you have done this week and now I hope you can enjoy such beautiful light and views and remember, when the days are not so wonderful, what you have to look forward to every year. Have a wonderful week-end.
We’re looking forward to Spring here:)

It has mostly been grey and wet here in Forest of Dean but the sun did briefly break through the other evening and I managed to get some pictures which I blogged under ‘it’s the little things’. I am STILL holding out for an Indian Summer… xx

I think it’s something about being near to the sea that makes the light so special and also something about it being where you feel at home. I feel the same about my little edge of Hampshire and the light in Tuscany where we have spent many happy holidays. I’ll let you know in a few weeks if I too see it in California – am I slightly excited – I think so!
    Have a lovely weekend. Bex.x
