Comic Relief 2013 & My Celebrity Autograph Challenge

Comic Relief 2013 is less than two weeks away and I wanted to tell you what I am doing to raise as much money as possible for children both here and in Africa this year. I have a book coming out in April and part of the process of having a book published is that you get to go to lots of really great events to meet people and talk about the book.

I am going to take my own personal copy of my book (I only get 1 copy you see) and get every single celebrity that I meet on my travels to sign it. This means that not only will you get a copy of my brand new book (and it’s lovely and shiny) but you’ll also have it signed by LOADS of celebs!

I’m going to the Cake & Bake show in April and I will run around Manchester Central over two days getting it signed by every celebrity I see. I will also take it everywhere else with me over the next few months and get it autographed wherever I go (an updated schedule will be posted soon as soon as dates are confirmed). I’ll then use the random number generator that I use on my other giveaways to pick a number out of all the people who donated and that person will receive the book

It’s terrifically easy and it will spur me on to get as many celebrity signatures as I can. I’ve set myself the £300 target to reach and have joined Emma Freud’s #twittermillion team so please join in on all the fun and tweet everyone involved using that hash tag. I’ll also be uploading lots of pictures to my Facebook page as I go off gathering signatures.

I expect to get in to lots of scrapes as I wrestle celebrities to the ground, in a headlock, in order to get them to sign the book for charity but it’s all for a good cause and I’m happy to take one for the team.

Now, the serious bit -
I only have two weeks to raise my total of three hundred pounds but I promise I will go on collecting signatures for many weeks after that to make sure that this is the best, most autographed book in the world, ever.
