Fabric Heart Bouquet

While I wait for the garden to bring me flowers these will do.

Simple fabric hearts, sewn together with wadding/stuffing in the middle.
Like a sandwich.
And then placed on top of a bar-b-q skewer with a tiny scrap of fabric tied below as a trim to finish.

There’s no point in waxing lyrical about how much I love these fabric heart flowers and how I think they are more than a substitute for real blooms.

They speak for themselves in their simplicity.

Who am I to take that away.

What you will need for this project:

  • Fabric scraps
  • 0.5mm wadding
  • Wooden BBQ skewers
  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Pins

I love you and present you with a boquet of heart shaped fabric flowers.

From my home to yours.

Totally Martha. I always remember how utterly amazing the shops were to us Brits in the U.S.A. On both coasts from Florida to Los Angeles we as a family were bowled over by the beauty of things you could buy for your home. Everthing was so cute and not tacky at all. Our first visits were about fifteen years ago and there were no shops here doing the same thing though they have started to lately. I love Cherry’s flair and originality. She just wants every room to look lovely and so do I.

As someone who yearns to be able to afford fresh flowers in every room every day but can’t, these are the perfect solution, just to add a splash of colour here and there makes all the difference. I actually have the perfect scraps of material to make these, and I jolly well will.
