How to make a Pumpkin/Squash candle holder or centerpiece for your table.
Working with a pumpkin or squash that you like the look/shape or colour of, this is super simple and a lovely way to decorate your table or even the outside of you house in a seasonal way.
Take the top from the squash and hollow out enough of the fleshy insides so that the candle has a place to sit. Add a trim such as these autumnal coloured craft flowers and last but no means least add your candle. Use a pillar candle as they work very well in lanterns such as this. They also burn quite slowly which gives you the opportunity to keep an eye on the candle and ‘direct it’ should that be necessary!
Always play safe with candles and don’t leave a lighted table piece such as this alone with children!
If you don’t want to use your ‘Crown Prince’ variety squash in this way then try making a serving dish out of it. You can see my version by clicking right here!
